Neal Presa
We are joined on this episode by Rev. Dr. Neal Presa, who is a member of the CPT's St. Augustine Fellowship. We hear from Neal about his life of faith, education, and how he discerned a call to ministry as he grew and matured. Neal also shares about his ministry experiences and his current work with the World Council of Churches, including how the evangelical church can engage in and learn from ecumenical movements for the good of the world.
Neal Presa is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church (U.SA.), whose vocation is as a pastor theologian and ecumenist as he teaches and preaches the Gospel and works towards the visible unity in the one holy catholic apostolic Church. He’s interim associate vice president for admissions and a faculty member at New Brunswick Theological Seminary in NJ where he leads the transformational preaching concentration in the Doctor of Ministry program, while also holding faculty appointments with three other seminaries in the United States and the Philippines. More recently, he’s taken on major leadership responsibilities with the World Council of Churches Central and Executive Committees. He’s the author/editor of six books, with a forthcoming book on joy and the Christian life. He’s married to Grace and they have two college-age sons. The Presas and their puppy Calvin live in a suburb of San Diego, California. He is a member of the St. Augustine Fellowship of the CPT.
